Meet our team

Bec is the heart and home of LEON Barbers.  Starting in the shop at 16, she grew up surrounded by the business her father, Leon built alongside her mother, Vivien. Today, she carries that family legacy forward with warmth, passion, and a deep commitment to the craft.

Bec feels very happy as over the years the business  has grown into more than just a barber shop - it has become a trusted part of the community.

 The family, feels very lucky to have been supported by a loyal team, some of which have been with them for 22 years.

For Bec, barbering is more than a profession- it is a craft, a tradition, and a privilege to continue caring for the people and families who place their trust in the business year after year.

 Bec has trained with a number of notable Academies such as Vidal Sassoon, Robert Heed and the Shoreditch academy for Barbers in London. 

Achieving the highest levels of  NVQ along with 38 years of experience, Bec has built up a loyal client base, spanning generations. 

Bec works:

Monday 9am - 6pm (lunch break 12pm -1pm)

Tuesday 9am - 6pm Taking appointments all day

Thursday 2pm - 8pm (Taking Appointments)

Friday 9am - 6.30pm (walk-ins all day, lunch break 12.30 - 1.30)

Saturday 9am - 1.30 taking appointments --- 2.30 - 5pm Walk-ins

Marion Started her career in her home town of Lincoln where she achieved Qualifications right up to the highest NVQ level 111 and D32 Assessors awards. She went on to complete the Training and development Award and D33 Assessors award in 1997. 

Marion worked as a Teacher of Hairdressing at Introtran and John Michael Hair Design where she was a senior stylist. she achieved a wealth of additional certifications in all aspects of colouring, Perming 

including an intensive course with Wella Studios in london. 

Since joining LEON Barbers in 2003, Marion has become a valued and much loved member of the team. Bringing a wealth of experience and expertise, she specialises in all aspects of barbering, from traditional classic cuts to the latest modern styles and trends. her warm friendly personality and her willingness to lend an ear has helped her build a loyal customer base over the years, with many of her clients becoming friends..

She is a master of her craft.

Marion works:

Wednesday 9am - 6pm ( taking Appointments)

Vanessa has has been an important part of the team since 2003, where she has built years of experience, dedication and genuine passion for the craft. After training at Chesterfield college , she quickly built a reputation for her skill, professionalism, and ability to make every client feel at ease.

A true all-rounder, vanessa is equally talented in both classic barbering techniques and the lates modern styles, making the perfect choice whether you're after a timeless cut or  something more fresh and contemporary. Her eye for detail and consistently high standards mean clients know they are always in safe hands

Known for her warm no-nonsense, get-on-with-the-job approach, Vanessa has a natural way of making people feel welcome while delivering top quality results every time. Friendly, approachable, and highly experienced, she is a valued member of the team and a favourite with clients old and new.

Vanessa works:

Wednesday 9am - 6pm

Thursday 9am - 2pm (taking Appointments)

Friday 1.00pm - 6.30pm

Jo has been a valued member of our team since 2022, quickly establishing herself as a talented and versatile barber. she excels in both on trend modern styles, mullets and fades of all variations, while also delivering classic timeless cuts.

Her attention to detail, creativity, and passion for her craft ensure that every client leaves feeling confident and well looked after.

Jo's ability to adapt to the latest trends while maintaining high standards of traditional barbering makes her a fantastic addition to our team.

Jo is incredibly hard working, always going above and beyond. She brings great energy and dedication to everything she does. As a footballer in her spare time she loves a good bit of banter about her team.

She is also keen to grow the gentlemen's wet shave in our salon. so you can now book in on a Friday with Jo for a luxury Beard Trim with hot towel or a full luxury Wet Shave

As the founder of our family barbershop, Leon created a place for conversation, laughter, wisdom and connection. He knew every one by name, welcomed everyone as friends.

He still takes an interest in the business and takes care of the book keeping and accounting. He is always happy to share his wisdom. He often pops in to say hello and check all is in order!

Mum worked at out Barbershop after being trained by our founder member, Leon. She then dedicated 28 years of tireless work helping build the business into what it is today.

In the early days she often worked without brakes or days off, giving everything to make the shop a success. she retired happy, knowing she had helped to create something truly special - a barber shop where she saw families grow and sometimes return later with families of their own.

Matt! 

Our new member. Matt is about to complete his level 2 at Vision West Nottinghamshire College

we are expecting great things form Matt in the years to come and can't wait to see his progress as part of our team.
