The Safety Procedures Implemented at LEON Barbers

Morning 

• Hang out clean gowns in the dryer.
• Fold clean and dry gowns and stock sideboard, to keep gowns covered and clean.
• Fill Barbicide Jars with solution.
• Check all equipment is present. sanitised. 
• Salon ready at 9.00am

Service; give direction to clients.

• Sanitisers are available at the entrance for Clients.
• Use a fresh clean gown for each client. 
• When the client is finished, remove the gown and put it in the laundry basket provided.
• Sanitise your hands after using the till. 
• Sanitise the stainless-steel chair hand area, top, sides and  underneath with anti-bac Spray provided, wipe dry before the client sits down.
• Remove any tools from the Barbicide and rinse in the sink then put them away.
• Take the comb, clipper attachments from the used toolbox, brush off the hair, rinse and put them in the Barbicide jar (10 minutes). Have 2 sets so they can stay there while you Carry out the next client, and so will have more than the 10 minutes required to sanitise,
• Clean and spray scissors and set down to dry. When you have a longer period of rest, (lunch time, end of the day) 10 minutes, use Clippercide or Cool Care to ensure to maintain your scissors  and prevent rusting  from all the sanitiser use. 
• Clean and Spray the clippers and trimmers used with Clippercide or Cool Care 10 -minute spray. 
• Trimmers have enough time to process until needed at the end of the next client.
• Have 2 pairs of clippers to alternate between clients for full sanitising time.
• Sweep the floor.
• Dry the chair off with the clean dry cloth.
• sanitise your hands and collect the next customer.

Time without a Client

Clean: 

• Door handles.
• Draw handles.
• Switches.
• Till area. 
• Handrails outside the salon.
• Hang clean gowns out to dry.
• Take used gowns and put them in the washing machine. 
• Sanitise hands and fold dry gowns, put away in the cupboard.
• Sanitise the storage boxes on the workstations.
• Refill any hand sanitisers, hand wash that are running low.

End of the day

• Completely clean station and tools as above. 
• Empty all Barbicide Jars.
• Sanitise all switches and door handles.
• Sweep, hoover and mop the floors.
• Put the aprons in the wash.
• Sanitise shop mobile phone and put on charge.
• Sanitise shop landline phone and put on charge.
